No Bones About It
Osteoporosis lives in your first chakra.

Supportive families equal healthy bones.
Did you think that osteoporosis is just about calcium and menopause?
If you listened to all those Sally Field commercials about the drug Boniva you’d begin to think so. Actually, the health of our bones and our bone density has more to do with how much family support we have. Who can you lean on? Do you have a close-knit family, a surrogate family, a family that you’ve created? As we reflect on our lives, we turn to give thanks for what we have and who is there for us in times of need.
The health of your bones and bone density in medical intuition terms is a first chakra issue, having to do with the network of people who give you a sense of safety and security in the world. If you are alone, lonely and depressed, you have an increased risk toward osteoporosis no matter how much calcium, Boniva or other anti-osteoporosis medicine or estrogen you take. You could run, hike, walk, and do all the anti-osteoporosis exercise that is prescribed, and still see your bones start to thin.
For the health of your first chakra—your bones, joints, blood, and immune system—you must balance the personal with the political and follow the first rule for intuitive health: All for one, and one for all. To maintain health in this energy center, you will need to be intuitively in touch with your individual needs as you simultaneously negotiate your way around those of the group, whether that group comprises your family, those you work with, or some other organization.
