We can apply this line of thought to any area of life, including physical and mental well-being. You just need to be guided to make the right changes and be supported through that transition.
While certain systems in the body function like clockwork, each of us is a complex and unique network of systems. Many of us want answers. We want the protocol that will change our health and our life. We feel comfortable working within a set framework.
For example, when we know how many calories to consume or how many grams of protein we need a day, life becomes a little easier. Weight loss or optimal health may be more attainable when we have formula to follow. In reality, while there is no one-size-fits-all supplement, there are principles that apply to all people.
The greatest success comes when we educate ourselves as much as possible, and then listen to our bodies on how to apply what we’ve learned. If you have the time and interest, read studies and dig through research. Experiment in the kitchen. Keep a food journal. Be gentle with yourself and with the learning process. Wellness itself is a lifelong journey.
Listening to the body can be tricky. It can be like learning a new language This is why it is the small steps that matter. The small steps add up. A handful of small solutions can create one massive change. You will find that as you learn more about yourself and the body, you will begin to see results.
Health goes beyond what we eat and how often we exercise. A big piece of the puzzle is also found in how we think and the emotions that we consistently stimulate with those thoughts. Those emotions are tied to chemicals in the body. Our “state of being” is a habitual release of chemicals that we don’t have to accept if we don’t like it, we can change it when we focus on cleansing toxins from our cells and our environment.
If the trial and error process frustrates you, take a step back and observe the success of others. You will find that those who are solution-oriented get results, no matter how many times they come to a dead end.
I’ve been fortunate to be part of thousands and thousands of transformations. No matter where you are in yours, know that you, too, are just one simple step away from becoming the person you want to be. That first step is a tiny shift in perception, a miracle of accepting that it’s possible.
