America’s Biggest Concern

I am the creator of the Walk at Home program and enjoy seeing people across America live healthier lives one step at a time. I am not only focused on physical activity, but one who truly believes in having a well-balanced life!

Over the past 25 years I have produced numerous best-selling DVDs all focused on walking exercises for people of all ages. Recognized as a ‘fitness video icon’ by The New York Times, I have been privileged to appear on TV shows such as QVC and The Today Show. Recently my program became the only DVD that the American Heart Association has publicly endorsed!

Through all of my years in the world of fitness, the one question I am always asked across America is: What is considered a well-balanced life?

Well, it’s a combination of good eating and sleeping habits, and regular exercise. It is so important to have these elements in your life! You can’t just focus on one element because they all work together!

Eating the right foods won’t be enough if you don’t exercise, and all the exercise in the world will not compensate for terrible eating habits. There has to be a balance in your life. And if you aren’t getting the right nutrition, you need to be taking supplements to ensure that you have the right vitamins in your system.

Sometimes, our variety of food doesn’t have enough nutrients on its own. It has nothing to do with your eating habits (or your fitness!). It’s just the reality of the food that we find in the grocery store, and our busy lifestyles. This is normal, so don’t worry!

I have always believed that supplements are a great way to add the right nutrients into your system so that you are well and truly balanced. In fact, I have been taking supplements and vitamins for almost 30 years!

The selection of supplements and vitamins has increased in the past few years, so now there is even more selection on the shelves. It can be a little overwhelming, but I always try to stick with ingredients that are all-natural.
