Making Conscious Connection with the DivineAre You in the Gap?
On September 16, Hay House is releasing a paperback version of my 2003 Japa meditation handbook—Getting in the Gap. I’m delighted to see the return of this beloved book (dedicated to my daughter, Serena, by the way) in a new format that replaces the meditation CD with a link to an audio download—so present moment! The technology may have changed, but the content of Getting in the Gap remains the same. It’s about the power of meditation.
The practice of meditation takes us on a healing and empowering journey into the gap between our thoughts, where all the advantages of a more peaceful, stress-free, healthy, and fatigue-free life are available. Wonderful as those benefits are, they are merely side-effects. The paramount reason for daily meditation is to put ourselves into the gap between thoughts where we can make conscious contact with the Divine, the creative energy of life itself. Through meditation, we can tap in to the abundance of creative energy that resides within us, and also a more meaningful experience of life, which enriches us permanently.
When we meditate, we begin to still the mind. As we get more and more adept at moving into inner silence, we come to know the peace of God in our entire being. We intuitively seek union with our generating Source. Silence, or meditation, is the path to that center. We can make conscious contact with God, transcend the limitations of a dichotomous world, and regain the power that is only available to us when we’re connected to Source. That is what I call getting in the gap. It’s where we create, manifest, heal, live, and perform at a miraculous level. The gap is the powerful silence we can access through meditation.
If you haven’t already started a meditation practice, now is the time to begin receiving the benefits of this amazing spiritual gift. I will see you in the gap!
