Spiritual Teachers
The More Gurus the Merrier“For truly we are all angels temporarily hiding as humans.”
Brian L. Weiss
I’m so grateful to the Spiritual teachers who inspired me when I was starting out. In my twenties I found myself at a crossroads – would I continue to pursue my plans to become a screen writer, or take a chance and let my psychic and mediumship abilities lead me down the road less traveled?
Finding my Spiritual Path.
As I wrestled with this choice, I found myself drawn to the work of such spiritual pioneers as Arthur Findley, Shirley MacLaine, W. Brugh Joy MD, Edgar Cayce, Alan Watts, Louise Hay, and Dr. Brian Weiss. Through their teachings, these individuals became my inspiration!
I was hooked.
I devoured their books and discovered the work of new authors until before long, my apartment could have passed for a used book warehouse. I had confirmed my spiritual purpose, and I knew that becoming a Spiritual Medium and teacher was the right path for me.
And that’s not all.
Along the way I had picked up another dream - to add my own contribution to the spiritual classics available to those seeking their own awakening. In other words – I wanted to write a book.
The road to becoming a Spiritual Medium and Bestselling Author.
Years flew by as I dedicated myself to connecting people to their loved ones in the Spirit realm. I used my experiences to write my first book. Talking to Heaven: A Medium's Message of Life After Death. Talking to Heaven was published in 1997 and became a #1 New York Times bestseller.
So, then what?
My work took me to dozens of spiritual expos and conferences across the globe. What a thrill it was to expose so many bright souls to the art of mediumship and meet so many of the spiritual leaders whose work I had long admired.
My time with them was magical - sharing stories from our travels, brainstorming ideas for upcoming books, and making plans to team up for future events and workshops.
The power of Louise Hay
Three decades and over a dozen published books later, I’m blessed with the opportunity to share the space with my peers on Hay House Radio and at Hay House Live events. I’ve discovered that no matter what their specialty – coaching, meditation, tapping, relationships, healing, manifestation - there is a common thread that runs through their teachings.
The secret ingredient?
I attribute that to Hay House founder, Louise Hay, who set an example with her own teachings:
- Affirmative power of your thoughts
- Choosing to love over fear
- Setting your intention to live your best, most authentic life.
We all describe our personal philosophies differently – I like to say that I teach people to accept that death and separateness is an illusion and we are all connected, and to give themselves permission to live a life in harmony with their soul.
But enough about me…
If you’re reading my blog, thanks! I’m delighted that you’ve discovered my work.
No matter where (or from whom) you draw inspiration for your own spiritual journey, I recommend also exposing yourself to the philosophies and teachings of others as much as you can.
Transformation awaits!
