Editor's Note - The following is an excerpt from Gabby Bernstein's book, Miracles Now: 108 Life-Changing Tools for Less Stress, More Flow, and Finding Your True Purpose. Gabby’s hope and intention is to arm us with radical spiritual principles, transformational meditations, and mindful practices that will help us rise to our highest capacity, experience a more joyful life, and serve in a great way.

Do you ever catch yourself judging people you don’t even know—such as the person on the subway who’s taking up two seats? Or do you feel like an outsider in certain environments, maybe your office, and project negative thoughts onto everyone so you can “protect” yourself from feeling hurt? Though your judgment may offer you temporary relief, it never actually makes you feel better in the long run.

When we separate ourselves from others, we disconnect from our loving truth and we feel blocked. The quickest and most effective way to bust through this block is to send love to all. Now, I’m not suggesting you go up to strangers on the bus and hug them. Instead, I’m offering you the opportunity to extend loving thoughts and energy to everyone you see. For example of loving and uplifting thoughts, you can see my new card deck, Miracles Now. The image below is a card from that deck.

Leave a powerful energy impression, good or bad, everywhere you go. So let’s get into the practice of not only emanating love but actively sharing it, too. Throughout the day, send love to everyone you see. You can send love through a thoughtful prayer, a smile, or the simple intention to be kind. If you’re on the bus, subway, or even stuck in traffic,& send love to your fellow commuters. You can say in your mind, I pray for you to have a blessed day. Before you walk into your work environment, silently bless everyone in the office. And when you come home at night to your roommates or family or even your cat, say a prayer for them before you walk in the door.

A Course in Miracles teaches us that prayer is the medium of miracles. Through a simple prayer of love, you can change someone’s whole day. They may not know that you were doing something, but they will feel it for sure! Yogi Bhajan said, “If you can’t see God in all, you can’t see God at all.” Consider “God” to be the same as love. If you want to experience divine love in your life, practice seeing love in all. Think of yourself as a love machine that becomes more loving as love is spread.

Spread the love far and wide, and pay attention to how it makes you feel. Also pay attention to the way people react to you. Through a prayer, smile, or positive thought, you can change someone’s life.
