Where Are You Going?

The Universe is set up to guide us to flow toward the highest good on a soul level for all concerned. The deal is that we must know what kind of experiences we want to have on our journey, and the Universe, like our very own fantastic Universal travel agent, will set up the connections to get us there. We set the intention. The Universe sets up the way. It’s important to know that intuition only supports our most authentic, spiritually aligned intentions, however; only the spirit can travel at the speed of love. The ego is not welcome on this journey.

The Universe sends us directions through our intuition; and we receive them through an inner voice, a tug in the heart, a sense, a vibe, a deep inner thought, a feeling, a certain subtle knowing, or an energy that directs us along the way. We each feel this intuition in a different way, and because it is subtle, it can be elusive. Nevertheless, if we pay attention, we can all feel it in the center of our hearts, flowing through our veins, and in our bones, like a deep inborn guidance system wired to God.

It may be tricky to describe intuition, but it’s not hard to feel it. Just focus on the middle of your heart. Like a subtle blinking light, when you take notice and follow its signals, you feel satisfied, quiet, calm, certain, relieved, confident, and, most of all, in alignment with your authentic self. Ignore this heart-based beeper and you’ll feel restless, anxious, uneasy, disturbed, and not quite yourself. To feel your heart vibration, breathe deeply, quiet your thoughts for a moment, put your hand on your heart, and listen for its pulse. It’s so subtle that you may doubt that what you’re feeling is real. Don’t. It is.

Allow yourself one full day to be guided by your intuition. During the day, whenever you’re faced with a question, decision, or choice, put your hand on your heart and say out loud, “My intuition says . . . ,” and then answer out loud.

Next, follow the response your intuition gave you. For example, you may wonder how to get to work the fastest way. Place your hand on your heart, and ask your intuition to guide you. It may say, Take the train today, even though you usually drive. For that day, go ahead and take public transportation. You may discover by doing this that you miss a major traffic jam and sail straight through to work. Whether you have that assurance or not (you probably won’t), follow your vibes anyway. Be a good sport in following your intuition fully all day. Be open to what surprising new things may occur.

If we are travelers, and our body is our vehicle, our intuition is the radio signal along the way or the radar on the instrument panel that keeps us on track. We cannot travel at the speed of love without it, because we’ll get lost. If we are on track, it hums along smoothly and we feel at ease, in the flow, right with ourselves and the Universe, and at peace as we go.

If we drift off course and out of alignment with our authentic selves, however, the radar starts to beep, causing tension in our heart, our chest, the back of our neck, our stomach, and throughout our nervous system, leaving us feeling unsettled—as though we have “ants in the pants,” so to speak. This feeling is our indication that we have drifted from our true intention and must reexamine the direction in which we’re flowing to get back on track.

When we first deviate from our course, the vibration that alerts us is subtle. The further we drift, the more intense the energetic alert becomes. It is up to us to pay attention to our inner world and notice if we are at peace and at ease with our choices, or if not, to reevaluate and be willing to make the changes necessary to get back in the groove of our authentic self.

The signals are not that difficult to read. “Good vibes” mean we are in the flow. “Bad vibes” mean we are drifting. All we must do is pay attention to our vibes, trust them, and follow them.
